RandomClone* feature

PLEASE CONSIDER...

If you use Greeble, please consider a donation to support Pineview Wildlife Rehabilitation Center!  They help sick and injured animals get back into the wild.  100% of all donations received will help support my local wildlife rehabilitator!  Donate $1, $5 or whatever you like!  Just click the button below to donate via PayPal.

Over the past few years, donations on behalf of this simple plugin have brought hundreds of dollars to help support Pineview's mission.  It's a great way for 3ds Max users to make a difference for animals.

100% of your donation amount goes to Pineview!

THANK YOU to all the Greeble users who have so generously donated to Pineview!

Thanks!

* RandomClone is a feature I have started adding to some of my plugins -- When checked, Copies of the object are created with the same parameters but new random number seed values, making it easy to create many clones with the same properties but different, random appearance. Try it!

This demo shows several features of DISPLAYS.  Numeric output linked to the frame number, random decimal, hexadecimal, binary, 7- and 16-segment LED-type and Nixie displays, scrolling messages, values linked via parameter wiring.  A supplied utility allows creating an infinite variety of custom displays!

3D Studio DOS "IPAS" Plug-ins

Autodesk 3D Studio was the Yost Group's first 3D software for IBM PC compatibles, operating under the DOS operating system. Starting with Release 2, 3D Studio introduced the "IPAS" plugin system and the Yost Group released 7 diskettes with various add-on features. It was one of the first "plug-in" architectures, and the 7 disks contained the following new features:

  • Image Processing
  • Special Effects
  • Procedural Modeling
  • Particle Systems
  • "Silicon Garden" (Procedural Plants)
  • Utilities 1 (Skin, Slice, Vapor, Flame, Scatter, Deform)
  • Utilities 2 (Tempo, Displace, Optimize, Meshres, Keyman, Hedra2)

Recently I was able to copy the Yost Group IPAS plug-ins from the old diskettes.  I have packaged them in a .zip file for ease of access. The plug-ins are organized into folders in the zip file by disk number. For historical purposes, both the original and version 1.1 images for disk #6 are included.

Download the IPAS.ZIP file by clicking HERE.

Thanks to the Yost Group IPAS developers for sharing their work!

The Yost Group IPAS disks are provided free of charge for personal use and are not to be sold.
